The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has raised serious concerns over the irregular attendance of teachers at the Government High School (GHS) in Seyochung Village. In a letter addressed to the District Education Officer (DEO) of Kiphire, Nagaland, dated 8 May 2025, the Union highlighted the issue observed during their monthly visit to the school.
According to the SVSU, “certain teachers have not been attending their duties regularly, and in some cases, are not coming at all.” The Union emphasized that this negligence “directly affects the quality of education being imparted to the students and undermines the functioning of the institution.”
In light of these observations, the SVSU has requested the DEO to “look into the matter and take necessary and immediate action against the erring teachers.” The Union has also enclosed the attendance record from their visit, providing evidence of the discrepancies.
