The Kisetong Village Students’ Union (KVSU) organised a one-day Open Penalty Shootout Tournament on July 11 under the theme, “Goal Against Drug Abuse,” in collaboration with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Kiphire Printing Press and Secret Urban Outfits.

The tournament opened with an awareness programme during which Mam Zisela, OST Counsellor at District Hospital Kiphire, spoke on the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of prevention.

A total of 17 teams participated in the competition.

Hurong Village Students’ Union emerged as champions, receiving Rs 15,000 and certificates, while Hunter XI finished runners-up and received Rs 10,000 along with certificates. Tutsuthong of Hunter XI was adjudged Best Goalkeeper and received gift hampers sponsored by Secret Urban Outfits.

The organisers thanked all participating teams, collaborators and supporters for contributing to the success of the event.
