Kohima, 23 August (MTNews): Vishü Rita Krocha was elected as the new General Secretary of the Kohima Press Club (KPC) executive body on Wednesday.

The by-election for the KPC General Secretary post was smoothly conducted on 23 August at the KPC office located in the APO Building Complex in Kohima, a press release from the Kohima Press Club Election Commission said.

 

Out of the 50 eligible voters, 39 cast their votes for the three candidates vying for the position: Vishü Rita Krocha, Seyiekietuo Keretsu, and Loreni Tsanglao.

 

Vishü Rita Krocha emerged as the successful candidate and was elected as the new General Secretary for the remaining tenure of the KPC executive body from 2022 to 2025.

 

The Chief Election Commissioner, Narayan Bahadur, along with Commissioners Krushal Charen Momin and Nchumthung Odyuo, presented the winning certificate to Krocha.

 

The KPC election commission extended its congratulations to Krocha for her victory and expressed the hope that she, along with the current KPC officials, will diligently work for the overall betterment of the Club.
