Kohima, 26 November (MTNews): The six-day-long Golden Jubilee Celebration of Kohima Bible College (KBC) culminated on Sunday at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School (RGHSS) ground, Kohima.
On Sunday morning service, Rev. Dr. Mati Joseph, Former Registrar of Kohima Bible College (1974-1984) was the speaker and recounted how the college initially came into being when his classmate Lt. Rev Neihulie Angami first started the college.
He said jubilee speaks of freedom and liberty and similarly Jesus also comes to liberate mankind and to preach the Gospel to those in captive. He said God is in each one with a purpose and exhorted the congregation to ask God for his will to execute the tasks.
In her greetings, President of Kohima Bible College, Abei-ü Neihulie acknowledged the faithfulness of God over the 50 years of existence of KBC and all those who have sponsored the college.
She said, “God was gracious to my husband Lt. Rev. Neihule Angami to see in his lifetime, part of the vision fulfilled which God gave to him. As we look at the graduates of this College, God has been sending out many students to different parts of India as well as many nations around the globe.”
“In the midst of such blessings, we went through the storms of trouble for this venture. However, God is with us and gave us victory,” stated the President.
Abei-ü Neihulie maintained that it has been 5 decades since the faithful day when her husband Rev. Neihulie responded to the call of God and stepped out in faith to address the spiritual vacuum that had left two continents in the dark and void of the Gospel of Christ by launching of Kohima Bible College (KBC).
While she recounted that in the early days, Kohima Bible College was established with the help of Rev. David Oliver Nunn, Bible Revival Dallas Texas; Rescue Mission, Tyler Texas; IN-SERVICE Inc. Canada, Grace Temple Mansfield, Texas, The LightHouse Church, Texas and Restoration Assembly, Texas; Government of Nagaland and churches and individuals at home and abroad for the facilities provided and for that Kohima Bible College is forever grateful and indebted.
“As we celebrate this Golden Jubilee, let the Holy Spirit lead us into the future ministry of KBC. As co-founder, I am dedicated to the growth of Kohima Bible College so that the graduates can continue to meet the call of the new generations emerging and are waiting, seeking and hoping for the Good News of Christ,” she stated.
Additionally, she said her vision for KBC is to be used by God in a mighty way to produce dedicated, spirit-filled young men and women in order to save the lost for His Kingdom.
The service was led by Rev. Zaseyi Veswuh, Chairman, Council of Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches, while special songs were presented by Mary Pau Sian Kim and friends and Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill, Kohima. Namita Lepcha Pastor, Horeb Church Himalaya Prayer Centre Bijanbari, Darjeeling led the congregation in Worship through Giving.
Later in the evening, the service was led by Rev. Dr. Laxman Kumar Digal, Academic Dean, Christ for The Nations Bible College, Kohima Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor Koinonia Baptist Church & Principal Kohima Bible College as the Speaker.
Greetings was delivered by Rev. Dr. K. Benri Lotha, Senior Pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church while special songs were presented by Kikrukhrienuo Rio, a testimony was shared by Samuel Gupta Senior Pastor, Atmik Jeevan Ministries Bagdogra and Rev. Senuto Ringa, Pastor Chesezu Christian Revival Church led the congregation in worship through giving.
To commemorate the Golden Jubilee Celebration and culmination of Golden Jubilee blessings was also held.
