The Kohima Darts Academy (KDA), supported by the Indian Darts Council (IDC), was formally inaugurated on February 23 at Naga Hospital Colony, Kohima.

Inaugurating the academy as the special guest, MLA Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, popularly known as Dr. Ato, stressed the importance of consistent practice to excel in the sport of darts. He wished the academy success in nurturing young talents and expressed hope that it would produce national and international players in the future. He also said the academy would help foster friendship, unity, confidence, and social interaction among youngsters.

The KDA aims to promote darts and nurture young talent by enrolling boys and girls aged eight years and above. It will conduct regular coaching sessions and participate in local and national competitions representing Kohima and Nagaland. The academy is equipped with six free-standing dartboard setups and will hold coaching sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm. Periodic performance assessments will be conducted to monitor progress.
