The Konyak Union (KU) has announced the newly appointed team of office bearers for the tenure 2025–2028. The team is led by K Yamao Konyak as President, Y Chingwang Konyak and Loungai Wangnao as Vice Presidents, Wango Konyak as General Secretary, Methpeih Konyak and Kaiba Konyak as Secretaries, Chingom Konyak as Finance Secretary, Nyawang Konyak as Treasurer, Y Wangchung Konyak as Social & Cultural Secretary, Longkhong Konyak, P Nganwang Konyak as Computer Assistant and Kaibo Konyak as Press & Media Secretary of the Union.
As per a press release from KU, the formal induction of the new team took place during the Union’s 45thGeneral Session held on 6th June 2025 at the Konyak Union Conference Hall, Mon. This was followed by the official handing and taking over ceremony on 9th June 2025 at the Konyak Union Office, Mon Headquarter.
“The newly inducted team earnestly appeals to all Konyak Civil Societies, the Mon District Administration, the State Government, and the general public to extend their continued cooperation and support for the smooth functioning of the Union,” it stated.
KU stated that collective involvement is vital in achieving progress and lasting peace for the Konyak community and the Nagas as a whole.
The Union added that it remains committed to “fostering unity, harmony, and inclusive development across the region.”
“With a shared sense of responsibility and purpose, the team looks forward to working together for a brighter and more prosperous future for all, rooted in mutual respect, understanding, and goodwill,” it added.
