In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in India, KVK Zunheboto, Nagaland University, launched its week-long campaign for Krishi Samridhi Swarna Week on December 2, 2024, at Alaphumi village.

Resource person Toshi Longkumer, Chief Technical Officer, conducted training programs on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for winter vegetables and mushroom cultivation.

The program targeted two women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the village: Nixaqhe SHG and Nilaghi SHG. A Plant Health camp was also held for the SHGs to address insect pest management for winter vegetables. The program concluded with the distribution of mushroom spawns, vegetable seeds, and bio-pesticides. A total of 22 farm women benefitted from the initiative.
