In a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship, Lhanti Konyak, hailing from Yonghong Village in Mon District, emerged as the epitome of sporting excellence at the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2024. Born in 2006 to proud parents P Anchao and Pangying, Lhanti’s achievements in Sepak Takraw have garnered widespread admiration and acclaim.
At NOPG 2024, Lhanti’s prowess on the Sepak Takraw court was undeniable. Representing Mon District with pride, he showcased his skill and determination, securing a Bronze medal in the Men’s Regu event and adding to his triumph with a Gold medal in the fiercely contested Quad event. His contributions were instrumental in Mon District’s success, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the sport.
Beyond his achievements at NOPG, Lhanti’s dedication to Sepak Takraw extends to national-level competitions. His participation in the Senior National Championships and the National Games 2023 underscores his commitment to honing his skills and competing at the highest levels of the sport.
