The Liangmai Baptist Association Nagaland celebrated the Liangmai Christian Centenary joyfully in the Liangmai area, Nagaland, under the theme ”Christ the Lord of Ages” from November 12 to 13, 2025, at the public ground, Tening, with Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), as the resource person.
Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener emphasized the theme ”Christ the Lord of Ages” and stated that Jesus Christ is the supreme authority above all history and creation, asserting that Christ’s role is that of an eternal, unchanging foundation of strength and refuge. He said that Jesus is steadfast, secure, and dependable in times of trouble and is the salvation for those who trust and believe in Him. Rev. Mar explained that “the Lord of Ages” signifies God’s supreme and eternal authority over the entire history of humankind and pointed out that Christ’s unchanging nature—being the same yesterday, today, and forever—provides a secure place of refuge for believers.
On the evening of November 12, Rev. Kamwang Rentta, Pastor of Town Baptist Church, Tening, hoisted the Centenary Jubilee flag, while Rev. N. Silubo Zeliang, Pastor of Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church, D. Block, inaugurated the Centenary Jubilee Hall and offered a dedicatory prayer. Rev. Wichampau Nchang, Executive Secretary and Chairman of the Planning Committee, delivered the welcome address and expressed his gratitude to all members for their constant prayer and financial support to the Association. Meanwhile, Rev. Dr. Alungbou Newmai, Executive Secretary of Liangmai Naga Baptist Association Manipur (LNBAM), offered a dedicatory prayer and released the Centenary Jubilee Souvenir.
The celebration witnessed choirs from various churches glorifying God through songs. The Centenary Jubilee celebration concluded with the de-hoisting of the Centenary Jubilee flag by Dr. Rampaukupoing Michui, Executive Secretary of Zeme Baptist Church Council (ZBCC).
