Continuing its mission of community service, the management, staff, and students of Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) participated in a civic activity dedicated to supporting the Traffic Police Personnel in Dimapur and Chumoukedima districts on 16th December 2024. The activity was primarily undertaken to express profound gratitude to the traffic personnel, who sacrifice their peace and comfort to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and provide better service to commuters, even under stressful job conditions.

This year’s community service also aimed to uphold the vision and legacy of the late Karan Ghebring, a mentor at LFI, who played a pivotal role in initiating and furthering this noble endeavor since its inception in 2017.

The students and mentors were divided into two teams, covering both Dimapur and Chumoukedima districts. They distributed gift hampers to approximately 200 traffic personnel on duty. During the activity, the students interacted with Mr. Meren Chenth, NPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), as well as the Officer In-charge (Traffic), Dimapur, N Likao Odyuo, and the Officer In-charge (Traffic), Chumoukedima, Mr. Langakhum Yim. These officials were also felicitated with tokens of gratitude from the management, staff, and students of LFI.

During their interactions, the officials addressed numerous questions posed by the students and clarified their doubts regarding various aspects of day-to-day traffic management.
