Acknowledging the challenges faced by senior citizens in accessing healthcare, Longjang Baptist Church organized a free medical camp on October 4, 2025, in honor of Senior Citizens’ Sunday. The initiative aimed to recognize and support the community’s elders, described as ”the pillar and the basis for today’s generation’s sustainability.”
The palliative care team from Impur Christian Hospital (ICH), led by Dr. Aka Longchar, Medical Superintendent, and coordinated by Mrs. Narola Walling, Chaplain, ICH, conducted the medical procedures.
A total of 100 senior citizens benefited from free medical treatment and medications provided during the camp.
Longjang Baptist Church expressed gratitude to the ICH palliative care team for their service, noting that their contribution ”made this camp a success.” The church also prayed for God’s blessings to continue helping those in need, emphasizing its commitment to act as a support system for the elderly and the community.
