Wokha, 18 March (MTNews): The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) has suspended the bandh, which was called to protest against the non-completion of the Sanis to Lakhuti Road upgradation. The bandh was called off after the contractor, M/S Northeast Enterprise, and the concerned department assured completion of the project within the stipulated time.
Earlier, the LMRSU organized a public gathering at the Sanis 0-point junction. During this gathering, the contractor, M/S Northeast Enterprise’s Akato Zhimo, addressed the attendees, expressing regret for the project’s delay.
He subsequently offered written reassurance to the public regarding project completion. Zhimo assured that work would recommence on 25 March and committed to completing the project by 30 April, following government specifications.
