Mokokchung, March 25 (MTNews): The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) held its annual general meeting at MMC Shopping Complex on Friday.

 

During the business hour of the meeting, the house approved the General Report and Audit Report. On the Nominating Committee’s proposal to retain the incumbent office bearers for another consecutive term citing the ongoing after-effects of covid-19 pandemic which has disrupted the market in Mokokchung, as well as taking into consideration the ongoing construction of MCCI complex at Arkong Ward, the house unanimously approved the proposal.

 

The construction committee’s proposal to collect of Rs. 500 per year from each member until the completion of the MCCI complex, to be collected while renewing of trade permit, was accepted by the members for the early completion of the project.

 

While delivering an exhortation, Tsukti Longkumer, President, MCCI, urged the members to work hand in hand to take forward the chamber to new heights. He also said that the business community should only engage in honest and ethical business practices while declaring that illegitimate businesses will not be tolerated.
