After completing several rounds of the cooking competitions, here are the profiles of the top 4 contestants of Naga Chef who will be showcasing their culinary skills to earn the title of Naga Chef Season 11 winner during the Hornbill Festival from December 2 to 9, 2024. This prestigious platform offers them an opportunity to showcase their culinary and entrepreneurial talents while celebrating and promoting the rich flavors of Naga cuisine during the Hornbill Festival.

1.Merennungsang Lemtur’s passion for cooking began with watching food shows and imitating their creations, which gradually became an integral part of his life. Although he explored various professions over the years, he eventually realized that cooking was his true calling. His passion led him to pursue a professional course in Home Baking and Cooking under Oui Chef, further refining his skills. Currently, he works as the head cook at Jubilee Memorial Centre (JMC), under Kohima Ao Baptist Church (KABA), where he continues to develop his expertise.

Meren believes that participating in Nagaland Chef Season 11 will broaden his horizon in Naga cuisine and provide him with a platform to innovate and grow, blending his current experience with new learning opportunities.
2. Gaily T Trakha is a dedicated mother of two and has a deep passion for cooking, particularly in the realm of Naga cuisine. As a housewife, she takes immense pride in her culinary skills. She describes herself as a passionate, confident and creative cook who excels in menu planning, preparing outstanding dishes and leading a team to deliver quality service.

3.Hamngam Linghoikim Hengna, a devoted mother of three, has had a passion for cooking since the age of 13. Inspired by her mother, she always dreamt of starting her own food business but lacked the confidence to take the first step. Her breakthrough came in 2023 when the WENN Bazaar platform provided her with the opportunity to showcase her cooking skills, instilling the confidence she needed to pursue her dreams.

Hamngam believes that a great cook can create heartwarming meals even with the simplest ingredients, a philosophy that guides her culinary journey.

4.Pfutsuvielo Ladu, a 22-year-old, hails from the legendary village of Khezhakeno and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree at Model Christian College. He discovered his passion for cooking in the 6th standard and has since won several culinary competitions. In addition to his culinary talents, he is also a gifted singer, having won competitions such as Kohima’s Got Talent and Inter-collegiate Talent Hunt.

Pfutsuvielo also served as the Senior Under Officer in the NCC, where he received extensive training in leadership and responsibility, showcasing his dedication to excellence in both academics and extracurricular pursuits.
