Mia by Tanishq, in partnership with the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, presented a bespoke gold brooch inspired by the Hornbill to Theja Rio in Kohima.

The brooch features an intricate Hornbill motif, drawing on the bird’s significance to Nagaland’s cultural identity. The reverse of the piece is inscribed with “ANGH”, giving it a contemporary and personalised element.
The Hornbill is closely associated with Nagaland’s cultural identity and lends its name to the Hornbill Festival, which showcases the state’s diverse traditions, music, arts and contemporary creative expressions.
The bespoke brooch was presented by Philip Andre Vianna, Regional Business Manager, Mia by Tanishq, East Region, as a gesture of appreciation and recognition of the brand’s partnership with Nagaland.
According to TaFMA, the collaboration reflects a shared interest in creativity, craftsmanship and promoting Naga talent and culture. It said the specially commissioned piece combines traditional inspiration with contemporary jewellery design, representing the evolving cultural and creative identity of Nagaland.
The partnership also highlights the role of collaborations between brands and the creative sector in providing platforms for showcasing the state’s music, fashion, design, craft and artistic talent, TaFMA said.
