The Directorate of Technical Education has informed that eligible students seeking to avail the State Technical Scholarship (STS), a welfare-based scheme, must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria.

The scholarship is open to indigenous ST students pursuing Diploma, Degree or Master’s courses recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the Council of Architecture (CoA). Applicants must also have a family annual income not exceeding Rs 8 lakh, certified by the competent authority of the district administration.

Eligible applicants can apply online through the Common Scholarship Portal, with applications open from October 1 to December 31, 2026.

Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for the scholarship application, while applicants must register on DigiLocker before applying. Applicants must also ensure that their bank accounts are Aadhaar-seeded.

The Directorate cautioned applicants against submitting false or fabricated income certificates or official documents. Such applications will be cancelled if detected, and necessary legal action may be initiated.
