Kohima, 28 July (MTNews): A five-day modular training program for Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Mobile Health Team members was successfully conducted from 24 to 28 July at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK). The main objective of the training was to impart necessary information and skills required for child health screening, enhancing the performance of all the personnel involved in the child health program at the Schools and Anganwadi Centres.

The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, under the National Health Mission. The program’s primary objective is to provide Child Health Screening and Early Intervention Services, with a focus on early identification and timely care, support, and treatment for children.

 

The RBSK program encompasses child health screening for a comprehensive range of 32 common health conditions, including Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies, and Developmental delays, spanning from birth to 18 years of age. The program’s extensive approach ensures early detection and free treatment and management, including surgeries at tertiary levels, for children diagnosed with identified health conditions.

 

Dr Tinurenla Anichari, the Nodal Officer for RBSK, along with a team of esteemed medical professionals, served as resource persons for the training program.
