Mokokchung, 30 July (MTNews): The data verification and authentication of 2813 teachers and employees of the Department of School Education under Mokokchung District was carried out from 17 to 29 July for the Teachers Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS).

The TAMS verification drive has so far covered Mon, Longleng, Tuensang, Shamator, Noklak, Kiphire, Wokha, Tseminyu, Kohima, Phek, Zunheboto and Mokokchung Districts.

 

Under NECTAR (Nagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources) Project, the Department of School Education will use facial recognition technology along with location and time stamping to monitor teachers attendance in all government schools across the state. The system is expected to go live in September 2023.
