Mokokchung, 17 November (MTNews): The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of Mokokchung, under the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland, visited the Pediatric Department of Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung on 17 November 2023 and presented sweets and some food items to the child patients there.
The visitation was conducted in observance of National Adoption Awareness Month, commemorating Child Rights Weeks, which run from 14th to 20th November every year. The theme for the 2023 Child Rights Weeks is “Adoption of Older Children.”
Officer Samuel Kapu from the District Child Protection Unit shared and enlightened parents on the National Adoption Policy. Various activities were carried out in celebration of Child Rights Week, culminating on 20th November.
