Mokokchung, 15 December (MTNews): In an effort to enhance awareness and saturate government schemes, the Mokokchung District Administration successfully conducted the “Viksit Bharati Sankalp Yatra” campaign on December 15, 2023. The event was held at the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Shopping Complex, drawing active participation from various sectors of the community.
The campaign, organized under the leadership of EAC Vitolu (HQ), saw the presence of Tsüvisie Phoji, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, as the special guest. Addressing the gathering, the special guest emphasized the diverse capacities of individuals, urging everyone to pledge towards becoming responsible citizens. He encouraged citizens to recommit to their duties, contributions, and responsibilities to the nation.
The program featured testimonials from beneficiaries of key schemes, including PM SVANidhi, PMAY (U), and AYUSHMAN. Notably, the campaign extended its reach to 57 out of 88 recognized villages in rural areas and the urban centers of Tuli town, Mangkolemba town, and Mokokchung town.
As part of the initiative, on-the-spot registration and services for AYUSHMAN BHARAT, biometric authentication, PM SWANidhi registration, and Ujjwala Yojana (Gas agency) were provided. Screening sessions for PM SVANidhi and pledges further enriched the campaign’s offerings.
The “Viksit Bharati Sankalp Yatra” aligns with its mission of achieving saturation through flagship schemes, addressing critical needs such as sanitation facilities, financial services, LPG connections, housing, food security, healthcare, education, and more. Launched on November 15, 2023 to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, the Yatra involves Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans that commenced their journey from districts with a significant Scheduled Tribe population. The vans are slated to cover the remaining districts from the third week of November 2023 up to January 26, 2024, fostering comprehensive outreach and societal empowerment.
