With the resumption of commercial truck movement on NH 702D and NH 2 effective from today, the Mokokchung District Truck Owners’ Association (MDTOA) has expressed gratitude to various organizations and individuals who supported their cause while they suspended their operations since July 28.

Talking to MT, the president of MDTOA acknowledged the support received from Ao Senden, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Mokokchung Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT), Mokokchung District Commercial Vehicles Owners Association (MDCVOA) , District administration, Nagaland Public Works Department (National Highways), contractors, and the general public.

Their cooperation was instrumental in overcoming recent disruptions, the MDTOA president said.

The association also reiterated that the concerned contractors and supervising departments should ensure continuous road maintenance of the roads as directed by the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung. The association emphasized the need for adequate manpower and machinery to keep the roads pliable without further disruptions.
