Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung bid farewell to two esteemed professors, Tiarenla, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy, and Dr Aotemshi I, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, on their retirement.

Principal Dr I Wati Imchen described the occasion as a “day of thanksgiving.” He praised Ms Tiarenla as a “wonderful, dedicated teacher” who contributed immensely to the college, including drafting the first constitution of ANGCTA and pioneering the Literacy Committee.

Dr Imchen also lauded Dr Aotemshi I as a “gentle, spiritual person” who dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He acknowledged Dr. Aotemshi’s decision to take voluntary retirement, giving up personal comfort for his mission.

The farewell ceremony featured speeches from colleagues and representatives from FACTA and FACSU. Tiarenla and Dr Aotemshi I expressed gratitude to the college administration and urged everyone to work with honesty, humility, and sincerity.

Faculty and students presented special songs, and the program concluded with a prayer of blessing by Dr Lipokrenla Jamir, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Political Science. Naomi, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Botany, chaired the program.
