A free oral cancer screening camp organized by the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), IMDH Mokokchung, was held at the MMC conference hall on 8th May 2025. The screening was conducted specifically for MMC sanitation workers.
In a short programme, Shri Taliyangshi, Health In-charge and MMC Councillor, thanked the department for the initiative, stating that such efforts by the Health Department are a blessing and requested the continuation of similar community-aiding programmes.
Dr. Keneitheja, Dental Surgeon at IMDH Mokokchung, highlighted in his speech that early detection through oral cancer screening can save lives.
The programme concluded with a free oral check-up for MMC sanitation workers and the distribution of free oral hygiene kits, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, and medicines.
