Mokokchung, 27 February (MTNews): In view of the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) day 2024 to be held on 3 March, the District Task Force on immunization meeting was held at the Conference Room, office of the Deputy Commissioner on 27 February.

During the meeting, the District Programme Officer Dr Takosunep highlighted the activities to be carried out during the day.

He informed that a total of 5443 children (0 to 5 years) to be administered OPV, covering an estimated total of 33552 households and 214 vaccination booths to be set up.

Deputy Commissioner ThsuvisiePhoji, who chaired the meeting, called upon the civil society organizations, Churches, Village Councils and allied departments to cooperate for the success of the IPPI programme.

Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung has informed that the next Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) for children between 0-5 years will be administered on Sunday, 3 March 2024.

All parents and adults have been requested to avail the facilities and ensure that all children between 0-5 years receive 2 Polio drops on this day at the nearest IPPI Booths.
