Mokokchung, 15 September (MTNews): The Inter-School District-Level Red Ribbon Quiz Competition, organized by the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Mokokchung, was held on 15 September at the Conference Hall, Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung.
In his welcoming address, Dr Kibangkumba, Chief Medical Officer of Mokokchung, urged the participants to learn and become beacons of hope for society. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about HIV/AIDS to prevent and eradicate this disease through a collective mindset and approach.
The competition aimed to generate awareness about HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.
The winners of the competition were Jechu Seb and Lanuren Jamir from Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung. Ternemla and Waluienla from Town Hr Sec School, Mokokchung secured the 2nd position, while Moajungla and Imtinola from Model Hr Sec School, Mokokchung secured the 3rd position. Sentimenla and Nungshisungla from Straightway Hr Sec School, Mokokchung secured the 4th position. The district-level winners of the Red Ribbon Quiz Competition will represent the district in the upcoming State-level competition.
