order, poll preparedness ahead of Koridang by-election
The Deputy commissioner & District Election Officer Mokokchung Ajit Kumar Verma IAS, accompanied by senior Superintendent Police Mokokchung and other administrative officials visited Chungtia village on 21 March to assess the law and order situation that occurred in the village in view of the upcoming by-election of the 28 Koridang A/C.
During the visit , the Deputy Commissioner convened a meeting with members of the village council to discuss election related issues and emphasized the importance of cooperation from all stake holders to ensure free, fair and peaceful conduct of the by election.
The officials also inspected polling stations under the village jurisdiction to review preparedness and ensure that necessary arrangement are in place for the smooth conduct of the election.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and conducting the election in a peacefull and efficient manner. (DPRO Mokokchung)
