Mokokchung, January 26 (MTNews): Celebrating 74th Indian Republic Day celebration, an exhibition cricket match was played between Deputy Commissioner XI and Mokokchung District Cricket Association XI at Imkongmeren Sports Complex today. DC XI won the match by 21 runs.
DC XI captain, Manoj Kumar IPS, SP Mokokchung on winning the toss opted to bat first. The team put up a total of 147 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, MDCA XI could only score 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Nripen (30 runs), Aloto (20 runs) and Chumlamo ADC (16 runs) were the leading run scorers for the DC XI while Imliakum scalped 3 wickets for the MDCA XI.
Sentizulu (29 runs), Lanusanen (29 runs) and Chambo (22 runs) were the top scorers for MDCA.
