commercial establishments urged to register or renew under NSE Act
In accordance with Section 36 of the Nagaland Shops and Establishment Act, 1986, all shops and commercial establishments in Mokokchung have been asked to register or renew their registrations for the calendar year 2025. Registration and renewal must be completed with the prescribed fees at the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Mokokchung, Nagaland, at the earliest. This was informed by Talitemjen Ao, Senior Labour Inspector, Mokokchung through a notification.
Ao mentioned that if any employer/shop owner carries on business without a valid Registration Certificate after the expiry of the last date for Renewal/ Registration, shall be liable to pay a penalty as per the provision of the Act.
