Mokokchung district bagged a total of 18 medals at the 34th Nagaland Inter-District Taekwondo Championship held in Phek on 2 and 3 September. Mokokchung won 2 Gold, 11 Silver, and 5 Silver medals.

Youth Resources and Sports Team Wins Overall Championship

The Department of Youth Resources and Sports team claimed the overall championship title at the 34th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship 2024.

Meanwhile, the Dimapur team secured the runners-up position, while Wokha was awarded the Best Discipline Team. A total of 340 athletes from 14 teams participated in the championship. Phek Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam graced the valedictory program as the guest of honor.
