On the same day in Kohima, Nagaland also got its first Pro Bono Club under the Ministry of Justice and Law, Government of India launched by Kohima Law College. Pro bono publico, usually shortened to pro bono, is a Latin phrase for professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment. The term typically refers to provision of legal services by legal professionals for people who are unable to afford them.
