The Women’s Ministry of Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) on Friday carried out a community outreach programme, visiting inmates at the District Jail and patients at three hospitals under its 2026 theme, “Go and Do Likewise” (Luke 10:27).
The programme began at the District Jail, where the ministry conducted a Gospel service, sharing messages of hope and encouragement with inmates. The team also served a home-cooked meal and distributed basic toiletries, sporting items and supplies for the jail chapel.
The outreach later extended to three hospitals, where the ministry formed three teams to visit patients and healthcare workers. During the visits, the teams prayed with 78 patients and nurses across 12 stations and distributed health food packets.
According to the organisers, the outreach programme seeks to put the ministry’s annual theme into practice through acts of compassion and service.
The ministry will continue the outreach next week with visits to two orphanages and two more hospitals. Similar programmes, including prayer, sharing from the Scriptures and distribution of essential items, will be conducted during the visits.
