Mokokchung, August 22 (MTNews): The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has extended gratitude to the Public Works Department (PWD), National Highways, Mokokchung Division “understanding the need of the citizens and promptly repairing the potholes in and around Mokokchung town.”
“For quite some time, the citizens of Mokokchung town were facing a lot of hardships due to the deteriorating road condition; the hardships were compounded due to the ever increasing number of vehicles and the monsoon season,” MTLT said in a press release on Tuesday.
The MTLT said that its Office had verbally requested the PWD (National Highways), Mokokchung Division, and added, “the department officials led by Executive Engineer Er Limatoshi and his esteemed officers took up the work and repaired it within two days. Such prompt action which mitigated the hardships of the people needs to be appreciated by all,” it said.
The MTLT also took the opportunity to issue an appeal to all the departments in the district to “take cognizance of the public needs and do the needful for the development of the town and in the greater interest of the general public.”
The organization reiterated its commitment to its motto, “Always Vigilant,” stating that it will “keep track of all the developmental activities in the town.”
