Following the condemnation expressed by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s letter to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, requesting immediate intervention to halt the auction of a “19th-century horned Naga human skull” by Swan Fine Art in Tetsworth, Oxfordshire, the auction house has removed the listing from its website as of 5:20 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). The item was still available when MT visited the site at 4:20 PM IST.
The site currently displays the message, “We could not find what you were looking for. Please try a different search,” as shown in the image below.

However, it remains unclear whether the auction has been officially canceled or if the item has simply been removed without further action.
