The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) held its Parting Social-cum-Election on April 19, 2025, at Paalanaa Bhavana, Bengaluru. The event marked a transition in leadership and celebrated the contributions of the outgoing executives while welcoming the new team.

Addressing the gathering, newly elected and returning President Nungsangmongla Ozukum emphasized the Union’s renewed focus for its 56th year, under the vision: ”Nurturing Young Leaders.” She noted that while existing initiatives would continue, there was an urgent need to engage youth in leadership, citing a growing sense of disconnect and a crisis of relevance among the younger generation within student unions.

Guest speaker Yuikan Shirik, Chairman and Founder of Brand Neurons Designs Pvt. Ltd. and a former advisor to NSUB, exhorted students to embrace bold and visionary leadership. He expressed concern over the declining leadership traits among Naga youth and called for a revival of collective responsibility.

The event also featured a prayer led by Pastor Nikato Yeptho of the Naga Christian Fellowship Bangalore, invoking blessings for both the outgoing and incoming executives.

The Election Committee, led by Nuthipru Nienu, Arhoni Jungio, and Ng.R. Timothy, extended their congratulations to the newly elected team and expressed gratitude to the outgoing executives for their commitment and service. They also acknowledged the efforts of the members, the Nomination Committee, and the NSUB office for ensuring a smooth and successful election process.

The programme was sponsored by Hornbill Kitchen and co-sponsored by The Tribal Kitchen.
