Nagaland has achieved 99.28 percent distribution of Enumeration Forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with 13,47,404 forms distributed against a total of 13,57,208 electors as of 4:00 PM on September 2.
According to the SIR Phase III status report issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, 8,20,429 Enumeration Forms have also been digitized, accounting for 60.45 percent of the total electorate. The report further recorded 905 Enumeration Forms submitted online by electors. A total of 33,506 forms were listed as uncollectable, accounting for 2.47 percent of the total electorate.
Eight election districts have achieved 100 percent distribution of Enumeration Forms. These are Dimapur, Peren, Pughoboto, Mokokchung, Wokha, Longleng, Noklak and Tseminyu.
Among the remaining districts, Phek recorded 99.98 percent distribution, followed by Zunheboto at 99.70 percent, Kohima at 99.54 percent, Kiphire at 99.38 percent and Meluri at 99.06 percent. Chümoukedima recorded 98.41 percent, Tuensang 98.40 percent, Mon 97.27 percent and Shamator 95.96 percent.
Digitization progress was highest in Pughoboto at 83.97 percent, followed by Kiphire at 76.62 percent, Meluri at 73.50 percent, Mon at 70.81 percent and Zunheboto at 65.32 percent. Chümoukedima recorded the lowest digitization rate at 43.41 percent.
The SIR exercise is being undertaken to revise and update the electoral rolls across the state. The latest figures indicate that the enumeration phase has progressed substantially, with more than 99 percent of Enumeration Forms already distributed statewide.
