Mokokchung, 12 September (MTNews): The Nagaland Athletics Association has announced that the Athletics Federation of India is set to organize the Khelo India Women’s League in 25 cities across India from 17 to 21 September 2023. Among the chosen cities, Dimapur has been selected to host the Road Race events.
The Nagaland Athletics Association will be conducting the event on 18 September 2023 as directed by the Athletics Federation of India.
The Road Race event in Dimapur will include two categories: U-16 Girls – 3Km and Women – 5Km. It was informed that cash awards will be given to the top five winners in each category, with the following prize amounts: 1st place – Rs 4000; 2nd place – Rs 3000; 3rd place – Rs 2000; 4th place – Rs 1500; and 5th place – Rs 1000.
Certificates of merit will be presented to all the top five winners, and all participants will receive participation certificates as well.
For age verification, participants should provide either their school Cumulative Record book or Aadhaar card.
Athletes interested in participating can register by completing the Google form, accessible by scanning the provided QR code. The deadline for registration is 16 September 2023. The registration fee is Rs 200 per participant. All participants are required to report at the Government Higher Secondary School ground in Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, at 5:00 AM on the day of the competition.
