The Nagaland Cabinet has agreed and approved the recruitment of constables for seven departments, including the Nagaland Police, Prisons, Forests, Home Guards, Fire and Emergency Services, Lokayukta, Home Guards, and Civil Defence.

He mentioned that the recruitment of constables for the seven departments was approved by the Cabinet and will be conducted through the Department Recruitment Board (DRB) with representatives from Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR).

The Deputy CM also added that a three-year age relaxation had been approved, whereby the maximum age limit for applying to the constable post will be 38 years, considering the absence of recruitment in the past 3-4 years.
