The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, has sanctioned Rs 37 crore for the disbursement of the Post Matric Scholarship to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Nagaland, the Directorate of Higher Education announced on Friday.

The Directorate stated that the Scheme Implementing Agency will distribute the funds to beneficiaries after completing the required formalities.

It also acknowledged the role of Minister for Tourism & Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, for his efforts in coordinating with the central ministry to facilitate the timely release of the scholarship funds. Additionally, the agency expressed gratitude to the Union Minister and officials of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for ensuring that the funds were sanctioned as promised.

Furthermore, the Scheme Implementing Agency acknowledges the efforts of the Minister for Tourism & Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along for his proactiveness and all-out efforts in coordinating with the funding ministry for the release of scholarship. The Scheme Implementing Agency also extends gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Minister and the Ministry Officials of Tribal Affairs for keeping their assurance in releasing the sanction order at the specified time.
