Kohima, 30 September (MTNews): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially inaugurated the “Bloom Bazaar,” a 30-weekend event, at the Heritage in Kohima on Saturday. During his speech at the launch program, Rio emphasized that the Bloom Bazaar represents a significant step in promoting products made in Nagaland.

He commended the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) team, led by Chairman Abu Metha, for their vision and collaborative efforts that brought the Bloom Bazaar to fruition. Rio also highlighted the importance of flowers in the state, noting that flower arrangements have consistently enhanced the atmosphere of various festivals, meetings, and conferences.

 

The Chief Minister acknowledged the growth of the flower industry in Nagaland, particularly praising the women in the region for contributing to its commercial success. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to the financial institutions that have stepped up to provide loans to support the flower growers.

 

Rio expressed hope that the Bloom Bazaar would become a place where friends and families could spend leisure time while supporting local entrepreneurs. As part of the special occasion, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to 12 beneficiaries as part of the Special Financial Scheme for flower growers in Nagaland.
