Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio held discussions with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Assam CM’s office in Guwahati on Monday. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma described the meeting as ‘productive,’ expressing delight over engaging in a fruitful discussion with Neiphiu Rio.

Sarma further mentioned that their conversation focused on coordinating efforts to accelerate development in the Northeast.
In a separate meeting, AGP legislator and Assam’s Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Information Technology, Science and Technology, Keshab Mahanta, also met with Neiphiu Rio in Guwahati. Mahanta acknowledged Rio’s role in uniting political forces in the Northeast, strengthening friendly relations between NDPP and AGP for the overall development of the region.
