The Public Grievances Department of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has expressed its full support and cooperation for the movement initiated by the Chang Students’ Conference, demanding the rights of Sao Chang College students.

In a press release, the NPCC Public Grievances Department reminded the government that there is only one Government College serving the entire Tuensang, Noklak, and Shamator districts.

Therefore, it argued that the issues related to four outdated buses and the deplorable road condition over a 7-kilometer stretch cannot be ignored or further delayed.

“The Government has forced the aggrieved students to go for shutting down the only college which in turn affects the careers of students,” stated the Nagaland Congress Public Grievances Department.

The Public Grievances Department also noted that the college is functioning without a principal and lacks many subject lecturers. “It serves as a reminder to the Government to immediately take necessary initiatives to correct the irregularities,” the department added.
