The Department of Economics & Statistics, Nagaland, in alignment with the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), has constituted the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) and District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) to oversee the successful implementation of the 8th Economic Census in the state.

The SLCC, chaired by the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, includes senior officials from various departments such as Industries & Commerce, Rural Development, Information Technology & Communication, Labour & Employment, and others. The Director of Economics & Statistics acts as the Member Secretary, with the committee responsible for monitoring preparedness and resolving both administrative and technical issues during the census. It will review the deployment of enumerators and supervisors, track fieldwork progress, and ensure comprehensive data coverage by validating it against existing databases like the State Business Register. The SLCC will also prepare reports on data accuracy, supervised by state and NSSO (FOD) teams.

At the district level, the DLCC, led by the Deputy Commissioner, includes representatives such as the District Planning Officer, General Manager of the District Industries Centre, and the District Economics & Statistics Officer, who serves as the Convenor. This committee will monitor preparations, address administrative concerns, and ensure smooth operations at the district level. It is also tasked with providing feedback to the SLCC, sensitizing local authorities for cooperation, and facilitating the use of administrative maps for fieldwork.
