Kohima, 19 December (MTNews): In a significant move, the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, J Alam IAS, issued a notification on December 19, 2023, directing the termination of employees appointed on a regular basis without sanctioned posts and those appointed against supernumerary posts that automatically ceased to exist following the retirement of the incumbent.

The decision stems from a Cabinet resolution, as per CAB-1/14/2023 dated 09/11/2023, and mandates all government departments to initiate termination proceedings against individuals falling within the specified categories.

Furthermore, the Chief Secretary has directed all departments to submit their action taken reports to the Department without fail by January 10, 2024.
