Kohima, 9 February (MTNews): The Nagaland Government will hold a consultative meeting with civil society organizations on the Indo-Myanmar border issue. Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton conveyed this information on the sidelines of an event today, mentioning that the meeting is scheduled to take place soon. He stated that the decision to hold the consultative meeting with civil society organizations was taken during a Cabinet meeting held yesterday in Kohima, following the Central Government’s decision to seal the Indo-Myanmar border.

Chief Minister Rio also reiterated that the move on FMR is against the government and civil societies’ wishes, and therefore, a consultative meeting will be held. However, he acknowledged that the Indian government is concerned, as there are certain factors not being properly followed under FMR, giving rise to issues like insurgency.
