The Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland, has informed that there is no shortage of LPG, both domestic and commercial, or other petroleum products in the state, and that adequate stocks are being maintained with supply lines functioning normally.

In a notification, the department reassured the general public that oil marketing companies continue to maintain sufficient stock levels.

In view of certain unverified information and rumors circulating regarding possible shortages, the department strongly urged citizens not to panic or resort to unnecessary hoarding of LPG cylinders or fuel, as such practices may disrupt the smooth and equitable distribution system and cause inconvenience to others.

The department further advised the public to rely only on official communications issued by the government and not to believe or spread unverified messages through social media or other informal channels. It cautioned that spreading rumors can lead to unwarranted panic and adversely affect public order.

The department also directed all Deputy Commissioners and concerned authorities to closely monitor the situation in their respective districts to ensure uninterrupted supply and distribution, prevent hoarding and black marketing, and enforce strict adherence to prescribed prices.

Reiterating that sufficient stocks are available, the department stated that there is no cause for concern and appealed to citizens to cooperate with authorities and maintain calm. (With DIPR inputs)
