DIPR Nagaland, along with private media representatives from the state, interacted with officials and members of the Shillong Press Club (SPC) during a courtesy visit to their office in Shillong on March 25, 2025.
SPC President Deimaia Lang Siangshai warmly welcomed and felicitated the 11-member media team from Nagaland, who are currently in Shillong as part of a media exposure tour to Shillong and Guwahati. This tour is sponsored by the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Nagaland.
Both sides exchanged views on the Journalist Pension Scheme, other welfare packages, and the logistical support extended to accredited journalists by their respective state governments.
The members agreed to maintain strong relations and collaborate to strengthen media-related activities.
Meanwhile, Nagaland media team leader S. Hongpi Konyak, Deputy Director, expressed gratitude to the SPC for their warm welcome and kind hospitality toward the visiting team.
