The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Department of School Education (DSE), and NagaEd have launched a pioneering initiative—the School Safety Policy Compliance Course—a digital training program aimed at enhancing school safety nationwide. This mandatory digital training course, for both government and private school teachers, equips educators with vital disaster management skills and knowledge, making it one of the first of its kind in the country, stated a press release received here.
Teachers, both government and private, can enroll in education.nagaland.gov.in to receive their mandatory completion certificate, the release added.
Early Success and Ambitious Goals
Over 500+ teachers have already enrolled in the online certification course, showcasing the initiative’s early success. The program ambitiously targets to certify 10,000 teachers across the state, ensuring widespread dissemination of crucial safety knowledge.

The NSDMA,DSE, and NagaEd, a leading digital education company, have collaborated to develop and implement this innovative program. This partnership leverages digital education to reach educators in diverse and remote locations throughout Nagaland.
