The Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, has issued an addendum regarding the ongoing recruitment of constables in Nagaland, informing provisionally accepted candidates that verification of mandatory documents will begin from January 2, 2026.

According to the addendum, issued in continuation of the Nagaland Police recruitment advertisement dated September 30, 2025, subsequent addenda in November, and a press notice issued on December 10, all candidates provisionally shortlisted for the Physical and Medical Standards Tests scheduled from January 7 to January 13, 2026, are required to compulsorily produce original documents along with photocopies at the SP Office, Mokokchung, for verification.

It was informed that candidates must submit proof of educational qualification, proof of identity, certificate of indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland, scheduled tribe and backward tribe certificates where applicable, and proof of date of birth. It was clarified that educational qualification requirements differ by tribe, with Class 6 pass certificates or higher required for Chang tribe candidates and Class 8 pass certificates or higher required for Ao and Sumi tribe candidates from NBSE or any recognized board in India.

It was further informed that Scheduled Tribe Certificate and Backward Tribe Certificate (Chang Tribe) should be duly signed only by the District Authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner.

The notice further informed that applicants who were unable to upload their Backward Tribe Certificate during the online application process must mandatorily produce both original and photocopies of the certificate at the SP Office for verification. Such candidates may download their admit cards generated through the recruitment portal.

In view of the large number of applicants, document scrutiny will be carried out in phases. Candidates with roll numbers from MOKA00001 to MOKA00685 have been asked to report on January 2, those from MOKA00686 to MOKA01370 on January 3, and candidates from MOKA01371 to MOKSUM2056 on January 5. Reporting time for all candidates has been fixed at 10 am.

The SP stated that this notice should be treated as final information for all concerned candidates and that no separate individual intimation will be issued. For queries, candidates may contact the helpdesk at 9366686220.

The addendum was issued by Vesupra Kezo, NPS, Superintendent of Police and Member Secretary of the District Level Screening Committee, Mokokchung, and countersigned by T Chumrenthung, IPS, DIGP CID and Presiding Officer of the District Level Screening Committee.
