The Soyim Shisaluyimer Telongjem (SST) successfully concluded its 2nd Triennial Conference held on December 29 and 30, 2025, at Ungma Village, Mokokchung. The two-day conference was organized under the theme “Sojenyangjen Ajanga Molutet” (Becoming through Belonging), reflecting the organization’s commitment to collective growth, identity, and youth empowerment.

The conference commenced with an inaugural session graced by Lipoksüngkum Imsong, Section Officer, Finance Department, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, as the keynote speaker. In his address, he spoke on the rationality of appearing for civil service examinations and emphasized the importance of logical thinking, informed decision-making, and self-awareness while choosing career paths in an increasingly competitive environment.

The first day featured parallel sessions focusing on career guidance and personal development. At Yimtsüngda Arok Sabang (Venue 1), sessions for students of Class 9 and above were conducted by a panel of resource persons from diverse professional backgrounds, including Imtitoshi Longkumer, Research Scholar; Arenlong Longkumer, Advocate, Gauhati High Court; Martoshi Jamir Tatar; Tsukti Longkumer, President, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI); and Kilangbenla Imsong, Assistant Professor, Nagaland University, Lumami. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Sentiyanger, Assistant Professor, Patkai Christian College, Chümoukedima.

Simultaneously, Venue 2 at Mount Moriah School hosted sessions led by Toshi O Longkumer, Advocate, Gauhati High Court, and Founder and Chief Educator of Mission Teach India. The session was moderated by Zulutemla Longkumer, Education and Statistical Secretary, SST.

The evening program, titled “Sobaliba Rajemshi,” was organized across four venues in Ungma Village – USC Badminton Court, Langpang Lenden, Yimlang Aonglenden, and Aolijen Ground. The sessions featured Guru Limayanger Jamir Tatar, Guru Rarenbenba Tatar, Imkongwati Longkumer Tatar, and Chubangangtet Jamir Tatar as resource persons. The program witnessed active participation from children (Kongshirs), who presented songs, followed by storytelling sessions aimed at preserving cultural values and oral traditions.

Day two of the conference began with a marathon flagged off by Toshiwapang Imsong, President, Sports Society Soyim. This was followed by a day-long sports meet at Senayangba Memorial Ground, where various SST units namely Mokokchung Unit, Dimapur Unit, Kohima Unit and Parent body competed in multiple sporting disciplines. The SST Mokokchung Unit emerged as the overall champions.

An inspiring address was delivered by Limatola Ao, Captain of the Nagaland Senior Women’s Cricket Team and former Captain of the North East Zone Senior Women’s Cricket Team, who encouraged youth participation in sports and highlighted discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

The conference concluded with a grand cultural extravaganza at Yimtsüngda Arok Sabang. The valedictory session was graced by Imnaienla Jamir, National Youth Icon Awardee 2025 and Global Ambassador of MasterPeace (COOLeader), who also delivered a motivational address. The closing program featured performances by local artists including Molung Imsong, Sangroshi, Punasusang, Odinenla, Temjensosang, along with Sideline Band and The Rusty Garden. Imnaienla Jamir also presented a special performance, bringing the conference to a memorable close.

The 2nd Triennial Conference of SST was marked by meaningful discussions, cultural engagement, and active participation, reaffirming the organization’s role in nurturing leadership, cultural identity, and holistic development among the youth.
