Sovima, 4 February (MTNews): Nagaland produced a clinical performance to defeat Arunachal Pradesh by an innings and 38 runs in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium Sovima. This comprehensive victory secured their place in the semi-finals, scheduled against Hyderabad from February 9th to 12th.
Arunachal Pradesh, trailing by 188 runs, faced a tough challenge as Imliwati Lemtur showcased an exceptional performance, claiming 7 wickets and dismantling Arunachal’s batting line-up.
Despite a solid start by openers Kumar Nyumpu (54 runs) and Doria (51 runs), Arunachal struggled to maintain momentum, with a commendable effort from Ete contributing 31 runs.
In response, Nagaland’s bowling unit delivered a stellar performance, with Tahmeed securing 2 wickets, reaching a milestone of 50 1st class wickets, and Khrievitso Kense adding another scalp to his tally.
